## Common answers

**Can foreigners buy property in Europe?** Yes. In Italy, Spain, Portugal, France and Greece there are almost no restrictions on foreign ownership, and residency isn't required to buy. Buying a home doesn't give you the right to live there — property and immigration are separate tracks.
